The Evergreen State College requires groups to provide proof of sufficient liability and property damage insurance ($1,000,000.00 minimum coverage on each occurrence basis). Contact your homeowner's insurance agent or search event insurance via the web to find suitable coverage.
Conference Services has a well-trained staff to configure meeting areas to your specifications. We have a supply of different kinds of tables: 5' & 6' rounds, 6' and 8' rectangular tables, card tables, and classroom/seminar tables in a range of sizes. We use standard folding plastic chairs for many of our events. Alert us during the planning phase of any setups you need.
Conference Services can supply campus maps and brochures. If you need a large number, please let us know in advance for printing purposes. Information on Olympia area events and places of interest is also available.
We can assist you with the printing and posting of directional signs for a reasonable fee. If you plan on posting your own conference signs, please check with our office beforehand.
Evergreen has a myriad of food service options to meet your dietary preferences while visiting the campus.
We have plenty of catering options to meet your dietary preferences and budgetary needs. Choose from simple coffee service to continental breakfast, an all-day meeting package, buffets and snack breaks, to reception carving stations along with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. The Conference Services staff will work with you to hand-craft a menu to suit your event needs.
The college's dining hall, The Greenery, is available for conference guests. The Greenery serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in an all you care to eat buffet style to conference guests each day. The Greenery specializes in offering a myriad of entree options during each service period, including gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian at each meal. The Greenery strives to offer organic and sustainably sourced products whenever possible, often including produce grown within the college's Organic Farm. Summer conferences that are not providing catered meals often elect to include a meal plan in the Greenery for their conference participants.
All food and beverage arrangements must be made through Conferences Services. No outside food and beverage is allowed on campus per college policy.
Whether you are visiting Evergreen for a day conference or overnight conference, here are some helpful tips for visiting our campus.
Free wifi is available campus wide in classroom buildings as well as in campus apartments. Check with your conference coordinator on login information.
Pay to park is required year round M-F from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Payments can be made at the Parking payment kiosks located in Lot B, Lot C, and Lot F. Some conferences include parking as part of registration fees so please check with your conference coordinator.
Please bring your own toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc.). Some conferences don't elect to pay for linen service so please check with your conference coordinator to determine if linens are included. The apartments are not air conditioned, so it is advisable to bring a personal fan for your bedroom. Bring some walking shoes so you can hike through the college's trial system or hike down to our beach.
The "Greener Store" is located in the College Activities Building and is the place to find a wide variety of books, office and art supplies, snacks and sundries, gifts, novelties, and Evergreen clothing. Should you or your delegates need to make copies, there is a full service copy center located in the Greener Store as well.
The Police Services office is located in the Seminar I Building and is open year round, 24 hours a day. Officers patrol the campus by foot, bicycles and cars and are fully commissioned law enforcement officers with the State of Washington.
